Protect yourself from bullies

 

Bullying and harassment can be very hurtful and can make you feel isolated and scared.

There are many different kinds of bullying, these include:

  • Emotional bullying - name calling, teasing, being the centre of nasty rumours or left out of activities on purpose
  • Physical bullying – being pushed, hit or physically hurt
  • Cyber bullying – being bullied by email, text, social media or instant messaging

Some people get bullied because of their skin colour, religion, disability, or just because they look different.

Celebrities such as Aston from JLS, David Beckham, James Corden and Daniel Radcliffe were all bullied as children and have spoken out against bullying.

If you are being bullied it’s not your fault and you don’t have to put up with it – to make it stop, tell someone you can trust.

It won’t make you a wimp and just remember that most bullies are cowards who pick on people to make themselves feel better.
